Russian Helicopters supplies 4 military transport helicopters to Angola

Within the framework of a long cooperation program, JSC Russian Helicopters has transferred a batch of 4 Mi-171Sh helicopters to representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Angola, the holding's press service informed.

The helicopters produced by JSC Ulan-Ude aviation plant (operating as part of Russian Helicopters) were supplied in addition to another four delivered to the customer in 2015. The rotorcraft supply contract was concluded by JSC Rosoboronexport.

Tested under different weather conditions and in various regions of the world, the Mi-171Sh helicopters have been proved themselves as reliable and low-maintenance rotorcraft capable of executing any missions.

The helicopters transferred to Angola are kitted out with modern flight and navigation equipment optimizing the flight profile and increasing flight safety.

Joint Stock Company Ulan-Ude aviation plant (JSC U-UAP, tax number: 0323018510) is one of the manufacturing enterprises of the Russian Helicopters group. The powerful advanced production and technology capacities of the aviation plant enables it to promptly build up production of new aircraft types, to combine the batch production of equipment with development prototypes. For 75 years of existence, U-UAP built more than 8 thousand aircraft. The plant currently specializes in the manufacture of MI-171 (MI-8AMT) and MI-171Sh helicopters.

JSC Russian Helicopters (tax number: 7731559044) is a subsidiary of JSC OPK Oboronprom which itself is part of the Rostec corporation. It controls and manages the following helicopter industry enterprises: Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant, Kamov, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, Kazan Helicopters, Rostvertol, Progress Arsenyev Aviation Company named after N.I. Sazykin, Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise, Stupino Machine Production Plant, Reduktor-PM, Novosibirsk Aircraft Repairing Plant and Helicopter Service Company. In 2013, the company supplied 275 helicopters.

IFRS net profit of JSC Russian Helicopters for H1 2015 grew 2.94 times to RUB 12.966 billion from RUB 4.411 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 25.99% to RUB 87.222 billion from RUB 69.23 billion, operating profit 2.26 times to RUB 22.064 billion from RUB 9.747 billion, pre-tax profit 2.69 times to RUB 19.38 billion from RUB 7.212 billion.

According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of JSC Russian Helicopters for 2015 grew 2.99 times to RUB 2.913 billion from RUB 975.841 million in 2014. Revenue increased 2.21 times to RUB 9.078 billion from RUB 4.107 billion, sales loss decreased 3.95 times to RUB 383.253 million from RUB 1.515 billion, pre-tax profit increased 2.43 times to RUB 3.042 billion from RUB 1.23 billion.
