More than 400 servicemen of the Airborne formations, which had been located in Tula and Ivanovo regions, and 10 pieces of military hardware landed onto unfamiliar landing site of the Totskoye range.
The landing operation also involved more than 15 transports of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
After landing, the units immediately started performing tasks on blocking of the simulated illegal armed group.

The strategic command-and-staff training started on March 22, 2016. In accordance to the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces, unannounced combat readiness inspection has started in the Airborne troops.
Moreover, military transport and tactic aviation formations are also involved in the inspection.
In total, about 30,000 servicemen, more than 3,800 pieces of armament and military hardware, and more than 100 aircraft are involved in the combat readiness inspection.
