More than 15 crews of Il-76 transports of the Russian Aerospace Forces are involved in landing operation of the Airborne units

Military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces started dropping units of the Airborne troops within unannounced combat readiness inspection. 

The flight crews of Il-76 transports loaded the Airborne servicemen at the Ivanovo and Ryazan airfields and dropped them onto the landing site in Orenburg region.

In total, more than 15 transports are involved in the operation.

The strategic command-and-staff training started on March 22, 2016. In accordance to the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces, unannounced combat readiness inspection has started in the Airborne troops.

Moreover, military transport and tactic aviation formations are also involved in the inspection.

In total, about 30,000 servicemen, more than 3,800 pieces of armament and military hardware, and more than 100 aircraft are involved in the combat readiness inspection.
