Concern Radio-electronic technologies (KRET) has started the manufacture of air radars of new generation, Rostec informed.
In particular, the first samples of a new-generation radar based on an active phased antenna array (APAA) are produced at the Ryazan State Instrument-making Enterprise (RSIE).
11 complete APAA sets are manufactured, three of them are being tested on board T-50 fighters.
Total investment in the upgrade of the Ryazan State Instrument-making Enterprise for APAA production purposes reached RUB 6 billion.
Joint Stock Company Concern Radio-electronic technologies (KRET) was established in 2009 uniting about 50 companies of Russia's radio-electronic industry. At the end of 2012, the Supervisory Board of state-owned corporation Rostec made a decision that JSC Aircraft Engineering Concern be merged into KRET. Rostec owns 100% of the shares in KRET.
Revenue of KRET for H1 2015 was RUB 50 billion increasing almost 1.4 times year-on-year.
Rostec Group (Russian Technologies Group until December 2012) established in November 2007 is meant to provide assistance to Russian entities of various industries in the development, manufacture and marketing of hi-tech goods domestically and abroad, in carrying out applied R&D to explore promising technologies and in adopting advanced techniques for production to boost the quality of domestic technologies, to reduce the time and cost of their development.
