Aeroflot starts selling tickets for subsidized flights to Far East of Russia

PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has launched sales of air tickets at subsidized rates for flights to the Far East of Russia under the government's program to ensure affordability of air transport for citizens of the Russian Federation, according to the company's press service.

Tickets at reduced (subsidized) rates in the economy class are available to citizens of the Russian Federation aged under 23 years and over 60 (over 55 years for women), disabled persons of group I, lifelong disabled persons of groups II and III as well as those accompanying a disabled person of group I or a disabled child.

Tickets at reduced prices are available to passengers flying in the period from April 1 to October 31, 2016.

PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines (tax number: 7712040126) is the largest Russian air carrier accounting for 39% of Russia's international and 11% of domestic air service market. The state owns a controlling interest in Aeroflot (51.17%). The company's fleet consists of Tu-134, Tu-154, IL-96, A319, A320, A321, A330, and B767 airliners.

In 2015, PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines increased its passenger flow by 10.6% year-on-year to 26.112 million. 

In January 2016, the passenger throughput of PJSC Aeroflot - Russian Airlines increased by 10.7% year-on-year to 2.005 million. 

IFRS net loss of PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, its subsidiaries and affiliates for 2015 decreased 2.64 times to RUB 6.494 billion from RUB 17.146 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 29.83% to RUB 415.173 billion from RUB 319.771 billion, profit from operations 3.91 times to RUB 44.107 billion from RUB 11.268 billion, loss before tax decreased 10.48 times to RUB 1.56 billion from RUB 16.352 billion in 2014. EBITDA increased 2.36 times to RUB 58.703 billion from RUB 24.839 billion, EBITDA margin by 6.3 p.p. to 14.1% from 7.8%.

According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net loss of PJSC Aeroflot - Russian Airlines for 2015 was RUB 18.928 billion against a profit of RUB 14.022 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 31.93% to RUB 366.307 billion from RUB 277.644 billion, sales profit by 89.09% to RUB 11.957 billion from RUB 6.324 billion, loss before tax was RUB 17.457 billion against a profit of RUB 21.096 billion in 2014.
