Emergency Ministry’s jet carrying out medical evacuation of seriously-ill children from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow

An Emergencies Ministry’s Ilyushin-76 has taken off from the Ramenskoye airfield near Moscow to the city of Rostov-on-Don to take on board more than 20 seriously-ill children who come from Donetsk and Luhansk regions. All the children, the younger of whom is just two-month-old, are in urgent need of high-tech medical aid unavailable in Donbass.

The plane is rigged up with modern equipment and special medical modules, medical ventilation apparatuses and cardiomonitors which allow providing medical aid to patients during the flight.

During the flight the children are going to be accompanied by medical personnel of the Tsentrospas team of the Emergencies Ministry, Zashchita Russian Disaster Medicine Center of the Russian Healthcare Ministry and psychologists of the Center for Emergency Psychological Aid of the Emergencies Ministry.

The Ilyushin-76 will land at Domodedovo airport and the children will be transported to Morozovskaya Children’s City Clinical Hospital, the N.F. Filatov Children’s City Clinical Hospital No 13, Scientific and Practical Center for Medical Aid to Children, the Z.A. Bashlyayeva Childrens City Clinical Hospital, Scientific and Practical Center for Children’s Psychoneurology, the G.N. Speransky Children’s City Clinical Hospital No 9 and the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Aid.
