Russian paratroopers arrived in India to participate in the international peacekeeping exercise

The Russian Airborne units arrived in Pune military base (India) in order to participate in the international peacekeeping and mine-clearing exercise.

The exercise will take place on March 1-8. In total, servicemen from 18 countries are to participate in the exercise.

In the course of the exercise, they are to practice patrolling in potentially conflict zones, protecting civilians in the area of a simulated armed conflict as well as escorting humanitarian convoys.

The joint exercise is held in accordance to the International activity plan of the Russian Defence Ministry.
