Aeroflot has successfully completed a supervisory audit of its integrated management system of management. TMS RUS, the official representative of international auditing and system certification company TÜV SÜD, assessed the integrated management system’s compliance with the international standards ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management).

During the assessment on 15-19 February, auditors visited more than 20 divisions of the airline in charge of corporate strategy, bonus programs, marketing, product quality, administration, transportation sales, aircraft fleet development, network and finance management, customer complaints, human resources, aviation security, passenger service on board, flightworthiness and aircraft maintenance, flight operations, coordination at Sheremetyevo International Airport, quality management system and workplace and environmental safety.

No instances of non-compliance were found during the audit. Some recommendations about potential improvements were made that the company will take into due consideration.

During the final briefing, the TMS RUS auditors praised the airline’s work. They thanked management and employees for their thorough readiness for the audit, their professional approach to their work, and their swift responses to the audit team. They also highlighted the importance of the company’s focus on looking for synergies between its established quality management system and still-new environmental management system.

The audit confirmed that Aeroflot’s integrated management system complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Aeroflot received its first universal quality management system certification for all of the airline’s activities in December 2007. In 2014, Aeroflot was the first Russian company to undergo a combined audit for compliance with two standards (quality management and environmental management) at once. This demonstrates their integration with Aeroflot’s governance and the company’s commitment to sustainable development, environmental balance and social responsibility to its employees and to Russia as a whole.
