Alert duty forces of the Russian military base in Abkhazia detected and engaged an aircraft of the simulated enemy in the course of the training.

In the course of the fire control training, Su-27 fighter of the Southern MD air defence and air force formation acted as a training aerial target.

As the aircraft entered the responsibility zone, air defence forces of the formation have been put on the highest combat readiness level.

After defining characteristics and belonging of the aircraft, S-300 and Osa-AKM crew engaged the target.

The combat training was registered by technical means. After the training, all data was transferred to the HQ in order to assess the task performance by the crews.
