Today, Airborne troops performed training landing operations in four areas of Pskov region in the course of the command-and-staff exercise.

The operations were performed using Il-76 transports with D-10 and Arbalet special parachute systems.

More than 1,000 servicemen performed parachute jumping in three areas. Up to Airborne battalion with hardware and armament were transported to the Ostrov airfield by airland delivery method. 

The exercise is headed by Deputy Airborne Commander Major General Vladimir Kochetkov.

The Airborne command-and-staff exercise will finish on February 20.
