Law on ratifying Agreement between Russia and Kazakhstan on procedures for using Russian defence ministry’s test flight centre on Republic of Kazakhstan’s territory

The President signed Federal Law On Ratifying the Protocol on Amendments and Addendums to the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on Procedures for the Use of the 929th State Flight Test Centre (Facilities and Combat Fields Located on the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Territory) by the Russian Federation’s Defence Ministry of January 20, 1995.

The Protocol was signed in Moscow on April 16, 2015.

The Protocol stipulates amending the Agreement to establish new coordinates for the borders of the flight test centre with the aim of excluding tracts of land that are not used by the Russian Defence Ministry and where the Kazakhstani side can hold seasonal agricultural and geological prospecting work without detriment to the use of this centre for its intended purpose.
