ISIL's Trophy Emir Killed in Russian Airstrike in Deir Ezzur

The Russian fighter jets continued pounding the ISIL's positions across Deir Ezzur province in Eastern Syria, killing a large number of militants, including its trophy emir.

Ramazan al-Jabarra, ISIL's trophy emir, was killed in the Russian airstrikes on the ISIL's headquarters in Deir Ezzur province.

Meantime, the Syrian army conducted fresh military operations against the terrorist groups in the Western and Northern parts of Deir Ezzur province, and destroyed the militants' positions and their military hardware.

The ISIL's gathering centers were destroyed in the army's operations near the water station of Mhimideh town and Safira Tahtani village.

The Syrian army also targeted the terrorists' military positions in al-Bukamal town to the Southeast of Deir Ezzur city.

The ISIL's machineguns were destroyed in al-Kitf area and two military vehicles equipped with machineguns and ammunition depot were also eliminated in the army's operations.

The Syrian air force also destroyed the military hardware of the militants in al-Mura'yeh and Baqaliyeh villages located to the West of Deir Ezzur military airport.

In a relevant development earlier today, the Syrian army destroyed the military positions of the ISIL terrorist group in Deir Ezzur province, killing tens of terrorists, including senior commanders, in heavy clashes.

At least 71 militants were killed and 81 others were injured in the Syrian army's attacks in al-Hamidiyeh, al-Aradi and al-Roshdiyeh neighborhoods of Deir Ezzur city on Monday.

An ISIL commander with Libyan nationality nicknamed Abu Islam al-Baghdadi and five of his deputies were among the terrorists killed in al-Hamidiyeh neighborhood.  

On Sunday, the Syrian army stormed the ISIL gatherings in al-Roshdiyeh, al-Hwaiqa, al-Hamidiyeh, the old airport, al-Ma'amel roundabout and al-Rafasa, which ended in the killing or wounding of several militants.

The ISIL positions near the village of al-Mura'yeh in the Eastern part of the province came under the offensive of the Syrian army.

The ISIL terrorists' weapons and ammunition were badly damaged in the attack.

In relevant developments in the Eastern battlefield of the country on Saturday, the Syrian army troops fended off the ISIL offensives near the strategic airbase of Deir Ezzur and killed many militants, including 14 foreign nationals.

Seven Saudis, three Iraqis, two Egyptians and two Tunisians were among the killed members of the ISIL terrorist group, whose attack on the government forces' positions near the airbase was thwarted.
