About 2,500 servicemen from the Russian Airborne Forces will take part in drills in the Russian north-western Pskov Region between February 15 and 20, the Defense Ministry press service said in a statement Sunday.

The exercise will involve over 300 units of military equipment, according to the press service.

The drills will focus on organization of air defense and development of capacity to provide units with logistic support.

The servicemen are expected to use the advanced tactical command-and-control system Andromeda-D, new means of communication, as well as airborne early warning and control systems and unmanned aerial vehicles.
