Russia has proposed to Iraq supplies of Sukhoi Superjet-100 (SSG-100) aircraft in passenger and VIP versions, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told journalists Thursday after his visit to Baghdad.

The delegation led by Rogozin arrived in Iraq at that Russian liner.

"Superjets have a market in Iraq, it’s a fact. Today we proposed to our Iraqi partners supplies of aircraft not only to passenger flight companies but also in the VIP version," he said.

Rogozin said the military and political leadership of Iraq "is interested in flying on board planes fitted out with all required equipment.".
