The plane of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations which is carrying out medical evacuation is rigged up with modern equipment and special medical modules, medical ventilation apparatuses and cardiomonitors which allow providing medical aid to patients during the flight.

During the flight the patient will be accompanied by medical personnel of the Tsentrospas team of the Emergencies Ministry, Zashchita Russian Disaster Medicine Center of the Russian Healthcare Ministry and a psychologist of the Center for Emergency Psychological Aid of the Emergencies Ministry.

In Saint Petersburg, the child is going to be transported for specialized treatment to the V.A. Almazov Northwestern Federal Medical Research Center.
