An Antonov-148 of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has taken off from the Ramenskoye airfield near Moscow for Simferopol to take there a sick child treated in a hospital in Moscow. On its way back from Simferopol to Moscow the plane took on board two seriously-ill children, one of whom was born two weeks ago. The children are in need of urgent highly-qualified and high-tech medical aid.

On arrival at Moscow, the patients will be delivered to the Bakulev Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery to get all necessary aid. The plane is rigged up with modern equipment and special medical modules, medical ventilation apparatuses and cardiomonitors which allow providing medical aid to patients during the flight. During the flight the children are accompanied by medical personnel of the Tsentrospas team of the Emergencies Ministry, Zashchita Russian Disaster Medicine Center of the Russian Healthcare Ministry and a psychologist of the Center for Emergency Psychological Aid of the Emergencies Ministry.
