Russian tourists spent almost $2 bln in Thailand in 2015 – report

Russian tourists spent almost $2 billion in Thailand in 2015, TASS reported on Feb. 10.

Vladimir Sosnov, head of the consular section at the Russian embassy in Bangkok, told the news agency that the figure was based on a report published by Thailand’s Sports and Tourism Ministry.

“An average Russian tourist spent approximately $130 in Thailand per day,” Sosnov told the news agency, adding that the average length of a holiday for a Russian in Thailand is 17 days.
