Helicopter pilots of the Western military district squadron, which was locating in the Leningrad Region, started conducting scheduled training flights.

Within the winter training period, Mi-8 and Mi-24 crews will attend combat training course in accordance to the requirements assigned to the peacekeeping contingent.

Piloting crews of Mi-8 and Mi-24 are to perform more than 100 tasks, including escorting and covering humanitarian columns, operating in complex weather conditions, at low and extremely low altitudes, landing and evacuating the personnel from unequipped areas.
