A Russian Emergency Ministry’s Ilyushin Il-76 plane has taken off today from Ramenskoye airport to evacuate three children seriously injured in a traffic accident involving a busfrom the city of Khanty-Mansiysk to Moscow. The patients are in urgent need of highly-qualified and high-tech medical aid.
The plane that is carrying out the medical evacuation, is rigged up with modern equipment and special medical modules, a medical ventilation apparatus and cardiomonitors which allow providing medical aid to the patient onboard.
During the flight the patients are going to be accompanied by medical personnel of the Emergency Ministry’s Tsentrospas team and All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center Zashchita of the Russian Healthcare Ministry, as well as a psychologist of the Emergency Ministry’s Center for Emergency Psychological Aid.
Once in Moscow the patients are going to be transported to the N.N. Budenko Neurosurgery Research Institute.
