Basel Aero LLC has completed major construction at the new terminal of Anapa International Airport, the holding's press service informed.
Construction of the new terminal with a total area of 11,800 square meters and a throughput of 600 passengers per hour are completely at the airport.
Post-construction works (territory improvement, removal of construction fencing) are underway. New landside facilities are being built, including a parking lot with 150 slots to ease traffic loads on passengers in summer. Finishing works continue inside the terminal building. Basel Aero's total investment in this project exceeds RUB 1.4 billion.
Anapa International Airport (tax number: 2301013617) is part of the airport group Basel Aero. The airport serves the resort city of Anapa, the cities Novorossiysk and Temryuk. The airport is capable of serve 21 takeoff and landing operations per hour. The current terminal has an area of 5,000 square meters, its throughput being 400 passengers per hour.
In January-November 2016, the passenger throughput of Anapa Airport increased by 20% year-on-year to 1.381 million.
According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of PJSC Anapa Airport for 2015 was RUB 213.584 million against a loss of RUB 10.63 million the year before. Revenue increased by 17.71% to RUB 697.735 million from RUB 592.765 million, sales profit by 82.99% to RUB 190.586 million from RUB 104.151 million, pre-tax profit was RUB 269.059 million against a loss of RUB 12.672 million in 2014.
Basel Aero established in 2007 manages Basic Element's airport assets. Since June 2012, it has been operating as a joint venture of Basic Element, Sberbank of Russia and Changi Airports International (Changi Airport Group's wholly owned subsidiary). Today, Basel Aero is managing airports in Krasnodar, Sochi, Gelendzhik and Anapa. The airports account for more than 7% of Russia's total passenger traffic and ca. 1.5% of the total cargo flow.
In January-November 2016, the passenger throughput of Basel Aero airports increased by 15% year-on-year to 9.446 million passengers.
