Kazakhstan names reasons caused Su-27 aircraft’s air crash

Refusal of the aircraft’s fuel system caused the crash of the Su-27 aircraft near the city of Taldykorgan in south-eastern Kazakhstan, RIA Novosti, Russia, reported with reference to the former Minister of Defense and now the deputy of the Kazakh Parliament Mukhtar Altynbayev.

24.kg News Agency, Kyrgyzstan, previously wrote that Su-27 belonged to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstancrashed on December 21, 2016 while operating a training flight in 25 kilometers from Taldykorgan. The pilot took the plane from the settlement, and then ejected. According to military medics, the condition of this pilot is assessed as satisfactory.

Earlier, Mr. Altynbaev suggested this air crash could be caused by a problem with the fuel system. “As I said, the fuel system is to blame. Yesterday I spoke with the commander of the Air Force. He said the failure of the fuel system caused this air crash but thorough investigation will identify the real cause of the failure”, he told reporters.
