Ural Airlines, Russia, continue operating its flights to Tajikistan, without limitation, as it has not received formal notification from the aviation authorities of Tajikistanto suspend these flights, Ural Airlines representative office in Dushanbe, Tajikistaninformed RIA Novosti.
“We have not received official notification from the aviation authorities of Tajikistan to suspend flights from several Russian cities. In this regard, the airline continues operating its flights to this country according to the flight schedule in full”, Ural Airlines said.
On December 22, 2016 the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reported that, as a result of the talks held in Moscow, Russia, Tajikistandid not allow Yamal Airlines to fly into the country from the Moscow’s Zhukovsky airport. In response, starting from December 23, 2016 Moscowhas suspended flights for Tajik Somon Air to the Russian regions. In this case, the flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg were not included under these restrictions. And Tajikistan, in turn, cancelled flights for Ural Airlines from the four cities of the Russian Federation.
Later, Somon Air, which flights to four cities in Russia were banned, started giving out money to passengers for their purchased air tickets for the following flights: Dushanbe – Orenburg,Dushanbe – Krasnodar,Dushanbe – Irkutskand Dushanbe – Krasnoyarsk.
Somon Air has already cancelled five flights for December 23-26, 2016, as regards the above destinations. All passengers have been returned all the money spent on the purchase of air tickets”, said Timur Bandishoev, Spokesperson, Somon Air.
