Tajikistan is in talks with the aeronautical authorities of Russia, making every effort to prevent the suspension of flights between the two countries on the eve of the New Year, when the homeland returns a large number of migrant workers, Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Sherali Gandzhalzoda told RIA Novosti.
Earlier Wednesday, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation stated that it is possible to suspend air communication with Tajikistansince December 22, 2016, if Tajikistanfails to fulfill its obligations under signed by the aeronautical authorities of the two countries' agreements. We are talking about granting permission to fly Yamal Airlines designated by the Russian side on flights between the airport near Moscow "Zhukovsky" and Tajikistan’s Dushanbe and Khujand.
"We are negotiating with the aeronautical authorities of Russia, I do not think they will close their sky for us for one flight," Mr. Gandzhalzoda said.
The Tajik side refusal to issue permits to Yamal justifies the lack of parity. So, on the eve of the Minister of Transport of Tajikistan told RIA Novosti that according to the intergovernmental agreement, all flights must be implemented on a parity basis and Dushanbeare satisfied with the number of flights operated from the airport "Zhukovsky". According to him, Tajik air carriers are not yet ready to perform the third flight of the "Zhukovsky".
In turn, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation stated that the references to the lack of parity incompetent. According to the explanation of the Ministry, the Tajik side in the negotiations of the aviation authorities of the two countries November 7, 2016 to accept the appointment of Russian companies on the lines of Zhukovsky – Dushanbe and Zhukovsky – Khujand, as recorded in the final report has been made. At the time of negotiating the designated carriers from the Russian side were "Ural Airlines" and "Yamal". The first of them started to use these lines in November, but the "Yamal" failed to do so.
In addition the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation pointed out that in the framework of the intergovernmental agreement restrictions, there are only two directions: Moscow-Dushanbe, on 14 flights a week to each of the parties; Moscow-Kurgan-Tube, to 7 flights a week to each of the parties. In these areas, we can talk about conditional "parity" in other areas is no limit on the number of designated carriers and flight frequency not summed up in the Russian ministry.
