Air defence formations and military units of the Eastern MD held more than 60 tactic exercises with combat firing.

Crews of air defence units of the Eastern MD motorized rifle formations have performed combat firing with the Tor-M2U newest air defence missiles complexes for the first time at the Telemba range in Buryatia.

In course of the tactic exercise, the servicemen practiced detecting, tracking and identifying fast-moving small-sized targets. The air defence complex crews carried out several missile launches against the targets.

In course of the field training, the servicemen practiced performing combat duty operating S-300, Tor-M2U, Buk, Osa, Strela, and Shilka air defence systems.  

In 2016, more than 8,000 servicemen and about 2,000 military and special vehicles were involved in the exercises.
