Air Manas launches Bishkek – Moscow (Zhukovsky airport) flights

On December 20, 2016 Air Manas will carry out its first flight from the Bishkek’s ManasInternational Airport to the airport in Zhukovsky, Russia.

The Zhukovsky Airport, or its another name is the Ramenskoye Airport, is located in the town of Zhukovsky, three km to the south-west from the railway platform “42 km”, in 36 km(public roads) from the center of Moscow. The international airport in Zhukovsky has the Europe’s longest runway (5,500 km). The airport will operate as a single experimental state and the civil aviation hub of the Russian Federation. There are plans that, by the end of 2016, the airport will serve 350-400 thousand passengers. The next year, one expects to increase this figure up to about two million.

The Air Manas Airlines was designated, as the air carrier on the part of the KyrgyzRepublicfor the Zhukovsky – Bishkek (Manas) airline, as a result of the competition held by the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic. Air Manas has received commercial rights for regular flights from Bishkek to the international airport in Zhukovsky with a frequency of seven times a week.

According to Yusuf Serdar Erman, Commercial Director, Air Manas, “Our airline is pleased to begin flights to Zhukovsky, since it is fully consistent to the Air Company’s strategy to expand the air route network and providing passengers both from Kyrgyzstan and Russia with air services at very attractive rates, as well as the ability to fly at our other destinations – to Osh, New Delhi, Urumqi and Kashgar”.

Departure from Bishkek is scheduled for 07:30 pm Bishkek time, arrival in Zhukovsky airport is at 09:10 pm Moscowtime. One expects that before February 2017, Air Manas will operate two flights per week. in February, one has scheduled for three flights per week with a consequent increase in the future.

Air ticket prices will range US $ 79.99+ for the Bishkek – Moscow segment and US $ 69.7 for the Moscow – Bishkek one, as well as US $ 149.69 for the roundtrip flight. Flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with a capacity of 189 passengers not including a crew.
