Aviation formations of the Western MD will have received about 20 aircraft of tactic and army aviation by the end of 2016.
The units will receive such aircraft as Mi-28, Mi-8, Mi-26, Mi-35N, Su-35 and An-148.
In total, troops of the Western military district are to receive more than 1,000 pieces of the newest armament and military hardware, including T-72B3 tanks, Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, different multiple launch rocket systems, communication and electronic warfare complexes.
