Kazakhstan defense ministry will buy four Mi-35M attack helicopters from Russia, Deputy Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Okas Saparov told RIA-Novosti on the sidelines of the Army-2016 international forum on Wednesday.
Kazakhstan Engineering and Helicopters of Russia will sign a “road map” lasting for 10 years. According to Mr. Saparov, Kazakhstanwill receive four Mi-35s this year under the contract with the Russian Federationinked in 2015. “This year, we will sign another contract for four Mi-35s”, Mr. Saparov said.
In addition, Mr. Saparov said the armed forces of Kazakhstan will receive two Su-30s and two Mi-17 helicopters from Russiathis year under previously signed contracts.
