On November 7-11, an observation flight over the territories of the Russian Federation is planned to be performed by the joint missions of the United States and the Czech Republic on OC-135B observation aircraft within the Treaty on Open Skies.
During the flight, the Russian specialists will control the equipment usage procedure and adherence to the terms provided for by the Treaty.
OC-135B observation aircraft belongs to a class of planes not intended for use of any weapons. The aircraft and surveillance equipment on it (photo cameras) has undergone the international examination in which Russian specialists took part, which makes it impossible to use technical equipment not provided for by the Treaty on Open Skies.
