The first flight from Zhukovsky airport to Bishkek to take off on Monday

The first flight to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, will depart from the Moscow Region’s  Zhukovsky International Airporton Monday morning.

The passengers of the Zhukovsky – Bishkek first flight will be presented with souvenirs and sweets at the airport.

Earlier, Dmitry Shugaev, Deputy Director General for international economic cooperation, Rostec State Corporation, Russia, and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Ramport Aero JSC said that in the near future, international flights may appear from Zhukovsky to such cities, as Tel Aviv, Istanbul and Baku. Since September 2016, one has already been flying to Minsk, Belarus. The first flight to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, departed from Zhukovsky on November 22, 2016.

The international airport in Zhukovsky was opened on May 30, 2016. Zhukovsky is a new international airport, located in 23 kilometers from Moscow on the Ramenskoye airfield with the Europe’s longest runway (5,500 meters), which allows to take passenger and cargo aircraft of any type. The first flight took off from this airport on September 12th. The development of the airport building has been implemented by Ramport Aero, a joint venture of TVK Russia JSC (Rostec State Corporation) and Aviation Solutions Group (ASG), an international aviation holding company.

Earlier, Russian airlines were given approval to operate regular flights from the airport in Zhukovsky to 11 countries.
