On December 20, 2016 Air Manas, Kyrgyzstan, will operate its first flight en route Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan – Zhukovsky, Russia, the Air Company reported to the Moscow Urban News Agency, Russia.
“The first flight in this air route will be operated on December 20, 2016. Departure from Bishkek is scheduled for 07:30 pm local time and arrival in Zhukovsky Airport is at 09:10 pm Moscow time. One expects that before February 2017, this Airline will operate two flights a week, and in February, one more flight will be added to the flight frequency. In the future, there are plans to increase this frequency”, a spokesperson said.
He added that the airline tickets have already been available on the airline’s website at a price of US $ 79.99+ for the Bishkek – Moscow segment and US $ 69.7 for the Moscow – Bishkek one. The roundtrip ticket costs US $ 149.69+. Flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft, with a capacity of 189 passengers not including the crew.
Earlier, Eugene Solodilin, the First Deputy Director General, Ramport Aero, the company-operator of the airport in Zhukovsky informed the Moscow Urban News Agency that the airport would launch Ural Airlines’ flights from Zhukovsky to Bishkek in late November.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev opened the Zhukovsky Airporton May 30, 2016. It is located near the town of the same name. Currently, one has already erected one passenger terminal at this airport with its area of 17,000 sq. m. Also, the airport is equipped with the longest runway 5,500 meters long and it has no restrictions on the types of aircraft.
According to Maxim Sokolov, the Russian Minister of Transport, the new airport at this stage can carry about 2 million passengers per year and it could be attractive for low-cost or new airlines.
