The S7 Group airline companies1 have drawn up a balance of their operating activities for October 2016. In the last month, the airline companies carried 1 112 278 passengers, which is a 20,2% increase over October 2015.
The growth could be noticed on both domestic and international routes. S7 Airlinesflights have carried 815 634 passengers within Russia, which is a 19,6% increase over last October. The passenger flow on the international flights has grown up to 296 644 passengers, which is a 22,1% increase.
In October, the passenger turnover has increased by 22,2% and amounted to 2 272 613 thousand passenger-kilometers, the cargo turnover has increased by 21,2% and amounted to 216 169 thousand tonne-kilometers.
“At the end of October the airlines have drawn up a balance of not only a month but also of the summer schedule of flights. This year we have launched several international touristic destinations which have become popular among our passengers: Berlin, Düsseldorf, Málaga, Ibiza, Barcelona, Rhodes. And even as we speak we are offering new travel destinations for the summer of 2017, for example, to the Greek island Kos or Pisa. According to the results of October the performance indicators are consistent with our forecast and we are going to keep up the pace in the following two months. Seeing as our indicators grow, it is also important for us to keep the flight regularity; this October S7 Airlineshas been named the most punctual airline company at the Domodedovo hub airport for eighth consecutive months”, Igor Veretennikov, the Commerce Director of S7 Group, noted.
