Emergency Ministry jet successfully evacuates seriously-ill child from Moscow to Yekaterinburg

An Emergency Ministy Antonov An-148 plane has taken off today from the Ramenskoye airport to deliver a seriously-ill child from Moscow to Yekaterinburg for further treatment at home. In Moscow, the child got highly-qualified and high-tech medical aid at the Emergency Children’s Surgery and Traumatology Research Institute.

The An-148 plane that carried out the medical evacuation, is rigged up with modern equipment and special medical modules, a medical ventilation apparatus and cardiomonitors which allow providing medical aid to the patient onboard.

During the flight the patient was accompanied by medical personnel of the Emergency Ministry’s Tsentrospas team and All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center Zashchita of the Russian Healthcare Ministry .

Once in Yekaterinburg, the child will be transported to a children’s city clinical hospital to get specialized treatment.
