Airport in Zhukovsky to launch flights to Bishkek in late November

The airport in Zhukovsky near Moscow, Russia, will launch flights to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, at the beginning of the coming week. These flights will be operated by Ural Airlines, Russia, this information was provided by the Moscow Urban News Agency, Russia, through Eugene Solodilin, the First Deputy Director General, Ramport Aero, the company-operator of this airport.

“In late November, Ural Airlines will launch flights from Zhukovsky to Bishkek”, he said.

Currently, the air carrier’s website has opened air ticket sales for Zhukovsky – Bishkek flight to be operated on November 28, 2016.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev opened the Zhukovsky Airporton May 30, 2016. It is located near the town of the same name. Currently, one has already erected one passenger terminal at this airport with its area of 17,000 sq. m. Also, the airport is equipped with the longest runway 5,500 meters long and it has no restrictions on the types of aircraft.

According to Maxim Sokolov, the Russian Minister of Transport, the new airport at this stage can carry about 2 million passengers per year and it could be attractive for low-cost or new airlines.
