Pobeda Airlines launched its Rostov-on-Don – Tbilisi regular flights

Pobeda Airlines belonged to the Aeroflot Group, Russia, today operated its first scheduled flight en route Rostov-on-Don, Russia – Tbilisi, Georgia.

According to Interfax, this low-cost air company will operate Rostov-on-Don – Tbilisi flights on its Boeing 737-800 plane three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until the end of the winter air navigation season – March 25, 2017. At the same time, the frequency of flights between other cities will not change.

Departure from Rostov-on-Don is carried out three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 04:05 pm. The return flight from the capital of Georgia is at 07:25 pm. As we reported earlier, this airline has filed an application to the Federal Air Transport Agency to increase the frequency of flights en route Rostov-on-Don – Tbilisi from three up to seven times a week.

At the beginning of air ticket sales, this airline offered to sell at least 30% of its air tickets for flights to Tbilisi at minimal rate, RUR 999 per ticket. Currently, for a number of dates, air tickets for Rostov – Tbilisi flights are available for RUR 2,380 per ticket.

Andrey Kalmykov, CEO, Pobeda Airlines, told reporters that about 70% of the passengers of the new flight include a passenger traffic among Rostov residents, and the remaining 30% are Moscow transit passengers who fly from Moscow and change their flight in Rostov-on-Don.

Recall, regular flights between Russia and Georgia were suspended in August 2008. They resumed in August 2010, but before September 2014, one had been carried out only direct charter flights between the two countries.
