Ural Airlines operated its first flight from Zhukovsky to Osh

Ural Airlines, Russia, operated its first scheduled international flight from the international airport in Zhukovsky near Moscow, Russia, to Osh,Kyrgyzstan.

The flight #U6-2447 with 150 passengers on board flew to Osh, the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan, on schedule. The Airbus 320 aircraft was seen off at the airport in Zhukovsky by the following persons: official representatives of Ural Airlines, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation, the management of the management company of this airport (RAMPORT AERO JSC), director of the OshInternational Airport and the media.

 “We together with the Zhukovsky airport are ready to develop air transport links, to increase the number of flights and to expand our air route network. The Airline’s nearest plans include launching direct scheduled flights from Zhukovsky to Bishkek,Kyrgyzstan, a well as to Khujand and Dushanbe, Tajikistan”, said Sergey Rybanov, General Spokesperson, Ural Airlines.

The passengers who were departing on this new flight from Zhukovsky, were handed pleasant souvenirs from the airline at check-in desks. The guests were traditionally offered to try a festive cake.

Ural Airlines ranks 5th among the leading Russian airlines in terms of air carriages in January-August 2016 and in 2015. As a result of 2015, Ural Airlines provided air services for 5.4 million passengers and the air route network includes over 200 destinations. Ural Airlines’ fleet consists of the Airbus aircraft. Nowadays, this air carrier operates 37 aircraft including 19 A320s, 11 A321s and seven A319s.

Zhukovsky is a new international airport, located in 23 km from Moscowin the territory of the Ramenskoye airfield having the Europe’s longest runway (5,500 m), which allows to take passenger and cargo aircraft of any type. The airport terminal’s area is about 17,000 sq. m.

The international airport in Zhukovsky was opened on May 30, 2016. RAMPORT AERO, a joint venture of TVK Russia JSC (Rostec State Corporation) and an international aviation holding ASG (Avia Solutions Group) are involved in developing this airport.
