The Finnish Air Force said two Russian Su-27 violated Finnish airspace twice mid- and late Thursday.

"In accordance with the combat training plan, Russian Aerospace Forces Su-27 jets conducted planned training flights on October 6 and 7. The flights took place over the neutral waters of the Gulf of Finland in accordance with the flight plan," the ministry said in a statement.

It added that no aircraft had deviated from their planned routes or violated foreign airspace.
