Uzbekistan Airways makes its first flight to Russia on Boeing-787 Dreamliner

On September 30, 2016 the Uzbekistan’s national air carrier, Uzbekistan Airways, made its first flight to Russiaon its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner liner. This “Dreamliner” flew en route Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Moscow, Russia, and landed at Moscow’s  Domodedovo International Airport, which is the only one in Russia now that serves the flights operated by this type of aircraft on a regular basis.

On the occasion of the arrival of a new “Dreamliner” in Moscow’s Domodedovo, one held a solemn ceremony of its meeting. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the airport and representatives of the airline’s top management, as well as the crew of the first flight.

The Boeing 787, one of the most anticipated and advanced aircraft in civil aviation, began to fly to Russia, namely, to the Moscow’s Domodedovo on a regular basis just six months after it has been commissioned. Innovative equipment of Boeing 787 Dreamliner provides passengers with the highest level of comfort. Dreamliner layout for Uzbekistan Airways was designed for 246 passengers of which 24 seats are for business class.

The Moscow’s Domodedovo is the only airport in Russia, which takes Boeing-787s on a regular basis. Uzbekistan Airways has been a partner of the Moscow’s Domodedovo since 2007, and it has become the fifth airline operating its Dreamliner on routes from/to Domodedovo.
