S7 Airlines, oneworld® global airline alliance member, switches over to the winter flight schedule starting October 30, 2016 and will operate on it until March 25, 2017 inclusive. During this period the company will perform flights to 139 destinations in 26 countries around the world.
«This year we have opened several foreign and domestic flights and most of them will remain in the winter schedule. Traditionally S7 Airlines flights to the cities close to ski resorts are winter favorites. And every year we try to offer new trip destinations. Last year it was Salzburg, this year it is Turin. The addition of 8 new aircrafts to our air fleet in 2016 let us also increase the frequency of both domestic and foreign flights, which are of high demand,» said Igor Veretennikov, the Commerce Director of S7 Airlines.
The first new destination in the winter schedule of 2016/2017 is the flight from Novosibirsk to Yekaterinburg. Flights between two cities will be performed starting November 1, 2016, three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
This winter S7 Airlines flight map will include Italian city Turin, the administrative center of the Italian Piedmont region, surrounded by Alpine ridges. It is a popular place with the developed ski resort infrastructure for people, who prefer winter activities. Flights from Moscow will be performed weekly on Saturdays starting the 24th of December.
For fans of mountain winter activities there will remain year-round flights to Munich and Verona, the closest airport to resorts of the Dolomites. In addition, the flights to Austrian cities Salzburg and Innsbruck, to Chambéry, where it is easy to get to French ski resorts, and to Plovdiv in Bulgaria will be renewed.
For the first time the winter schedule will keep a popular flight from Moscow to Palma. Flights to Majorca will be performed weekly on Sundays. Flights, started in spring of 2016, will continue to carry passengers to Berlin and Düsseldorf daily and to Barcelona on a weekly basis on Saturdays.
For the first time passengers from Novosibirsk will be able to take S7 Airlines direct scheduled flights to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Magadan, Krasnodar, Mineralnyye Vody and Seoul in winter.
During winter period, there will be flights from Vladivostok to Shanghai and Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Thailand is one of the most popular destinations for beach recreation during winter period and a lot of passengers choose it for New Year holidays. The new schedule will see flights from Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and Vladivostok to Bangkok. There will also be available a direct S7 Airlines flight from Novosibirsk to Phuket.
The frequency of some flights will be increased compared to last winter. More flights will be performed to Sochi, Mineralnyye Vody, Krasnodar, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and other cities.
