Russia may enter into agreement with Georgia on simplified rules for entry of aircraft crews

Russiais ready to conclude an agreement with Georgia on simplified rules for entry, stay and departure of crews of aircraft belonged to the airlines of Russia and Georgia.

The Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev issued a decree and agreed to accept the offer of the Ministry of Transport of Russia agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and other federal executive bodies, to conclude an intergovernmental agreement with Georgia by an exchange of notes.

The Government Decree was published on the official web portal of legal information.

Simplification will address members of the flight crews of the Russian and Georgian airlines that participate in allowed air transport operations on the specified air routes between Russia and Georgia, airports or which have special and charter flights from the airports that are opened for international air traffic on the territory of the two countries. According to the draft note, Russia requests to inform the Georgian side of its decision through the Swiss Embassy in the Russian Federation.

According to this draft note, the agreement should come into force in 30 days after the date of receipt of the last written notification in the completion of internal procedures by the parties through diplomatic channels.
