Icar Airlines, Russia, has received permission to carry out flights to Baku,Azerbaijan, from Moscow’s new international airport in Zhukovsky, according to the order to admit air carriers to operate international air carriages. This order was posted on the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency (FATA) of Russia on Friday.
The paper noted that Icar Airlines has received permission to operate regular passenger flights en route “Zhukovsky” – Baku with a frequency of seven times a week.
In addition, Komiaviatrans Airlines, Russia, has received permission to organize flights en route Moscow,Russia – Lankaran,Azerbaijan, and Perm, Russia– Baku with a frequency of five and two times per week, respectively.
Also, at air carriers’ own requests, the FATA withdrew permits from Komiaviatrans Airlines to fly en route Saint Petersburg, Russia – Gabala, Azerbaijan and Kaluga,Russia – Baku.
The Moscow’s fourth international airport in “Zhukovsky” was opened on May 30, 2016. The airport’s stated carrying capacity at the first phase is four million passengers annually.
