Russia's Saratov Airlines to set up a base in Kaluga

Saratov Airlines has announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Kaluga Grabtsevo Airport in southwest Russia.

The tie-up will lead to Saratov Airlines developing the airfield into a base for both domestic Russian as well as international flights leveraging the airfield's discounted service charges.

Among the destinations being touted include: St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad as well as Adler/Sochiand Simferopol in summer.

Currently, Kaluga is served by Komiaviatrans, Orenburzhye, Ural Airlines, and Yamal Airlines. International charters to Braunschweig, Germany, are handled by Germania.
