Russia's Yamal Airlines to go int'l from Tyumen this winter

Yamal Airlines has announced it will commence international flights out of Tyumen later this month, CH-aviation.com reported.

The carrier said 2x weekly charter flights to Dubai Int'l would run from October 22, 2016 through to March 25, 2017 using a combination of A320-200 and SSJ 100-95LR equipment.

Tyumen's international operations are currently restricted to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan with locals forced to use Ekaterinburg, located 280 kilometres away, if they wish to travel further abroad.

For its part, Yamal's Tyumen services are restricted to the Russian domestic market including: Adler/Sochi, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow Domodedovo, Nadym, Nojabrxsk, Novosibirsk,Novy Urengoy, Salekhard, Simferopol, and St. Petersburg.
