Pilots of the Western MD spent more than 10,000 hours in the air, and about 3,000 ones were spent at nighttime, during the training year.

Flight crews performed more than 500 maneuvering aerial combats and more than 200 firing tasks. Not less than 50% of flights were carried out at nighttime and in complex weather conditions.

About 1,000 servicemen and up to 50 tons of different cargos have been transported to locations of formations and military units in course of the scheduled activities.
