The issue of launching direct flights en route Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, - Kazan, Tatarstan/Russia was discussed at a high level, according to the Turkmen Government’s report issued on Monday.

This topic was touched upon during the meeting between the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) Rustam Minnikhanov in Ashgabat.

According to information, the parties discussed prospects of cooperation in such sectors, as transport and creating a combined transit transport and logistics infrastructure.

The Turkmenistan’s national air carrier, Turkmenistan Airlines, operates its flights to Russia,Ukraine,Kazakhstan, Belarus, Great Britain, France,Turkey, UAE, Germany, Thailand,China,India and other countries.
