The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency recommends not using Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones on airplanes during flights. According to the Agency’s press release, the decision was made due to recent cases of the smartphones overheating and in some cases catching fire.
The Agency also asks not to turn on, charge or use Galaxy Note 7 at the airports, as well as not to put the smartphones in the baggage.
The Agency noted that this recommendation applies to all smartphones of this model regardless of the country or origin and the date of acquisition, including devices, acquired or replaced after September 2, 2016.The recommendations will remain in force until the designers and manufacturers of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 eliminate defects of these potentially dangerous smartphones.
