A Russian Emergencies Ministry An-148 has carried out medical evacuation from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow of four seriously-ill children who come from Luhansk and Donetsk regions. All the children are need of urgent high-tech medical aid which is unavailable in Donbass.
The plane is rigged up with modern equipment and a special medical unit, a medical ventilation apparatus and cardiomonitors which allow providing medical aid to patients during the flight.
During the flight the children were accompanied by medical personnel of the Tsentrospas team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Zashchita Russian Disaster Medicine Center of the Russian Healthcare Ministry and a psychologist of the Center for Emergency Psychological Aid.
In Moscow, the children will be delivered to Research and Practical Center for Medical Aid to Children, Children’s Psychoneurology Research and Practical center and Morozovskaya Children’s City Clinical Hospital.
