A Russian Emergencies Minsitry An-148 took off today from Ramenskoye airport for Rostov-on-Don to take aboard four seriously-ill children who come from Donetsk region. All the children are in need of immediate high-tech medical aid which they can’t get in Donbass.

The plane is rigged up with modern equipment and a special medical unit, a medical ventilation apparatus and cardiomonitors which allow providing medical aid to patients during the flight.

During the flight the children are going to be accompanied by medical personnel of the Tsentrospas team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and Zashchita Russian Disaster Medicine Center of the Russian Healthcare Ministry.

In Saint Petersburg, one of the children will be taken to the Saint Petersburg State Pediatrics Medical Univesity. In Moscow, three other children will be delivered to Morozovskaya Children’s City Clinical Hospital.
