Aircraft building plant "Aviastar-SP" (Ulyanovsk) started manufacturing components for light military transport aircraft Il-112 VDC, the press service of the company.

"Currently under design and technological development and preproduction. The plant has already started manufacturing the first parts", – the press service quoted the head of the project "476" and "Il-112 VDC" Valery Tokarev.

JSC "Aviastar-SP" takes part in cooperation on the construction of the Il-112 VDC.

"In the framework of the project the company will be producing panels for the compartments of the fuselage f-1, f-2, f-3; hatches and doors. Final Assembly of this aircraft will be produced at the Voronezh aviation plant", – stated in the message.

According to the enterprise, sets on two units of the prototype (flight and resource) needs to be delivered in 2016.

"During the construction of the Il-112 VDC will be used parts and components only of the Russian production", – stated in the message.

The first flying prototype of the Il-112 VDC is scheduled to be transferred to the first stage of state joint tests in 2017.

The Il-112 VDC is designed for transportation and air landing lung samples weapons and military equipment, cargo and personnel, as well as for transportation of a wide range of different loads during commercial operation of the aircraft. The aircraft is equipped with modern digital avionics system.
