Progresstech Group of Companies Celebrates the 25th Anniversary

Registered twenty five years ago, on January 3 of 1991, a small research-and-production company Progresstech has developed into Progresstech Group of companies.

At present Progresstech Group of Companies comprises over 10 member-companies located in 6 countries. Progresstech Group has turned into one of the most dynamically developing hi-tech enterprises in the Eastern Europe and has won  worldwide recognition and repute.

Progresstech, Ltd. was founded in 2002 with a view of consolidation and further development of engineering service activities of Progresstech Group. Progresstech, Ltd. comprised Progresstech Engineering Center which was set up in 1999 to render engineering consulting services to aircraft developers and integrators and Airport Design Center which activity started in 1991.

Later Progresstech has been active in expanding its involvement in the intellectual property business to become a leading company-member of Progresstech Group. Affiliate companies were created in Russia and CIS countries and afterwards beyond the CIS area.

In 2006 engineering service company Progresstech-Dubna was set up which was awarded the status of the technology-innovative Special Economic Zone resident in Dubna, Moscow Region in 2007.

In 2008 Progresstech-Armenia was set up and in 2012 PT-Americas was established in Houston, TX to further develop long-term business partnerships and expand the customer pool in aircraft construction and other business sectors in North and South Americas.

At present Progresstech is the engineering team of over 1000 highly experienced professionals who render engineering consulting services to national and worldwide aircraft developers and integrators. Progresstech has built long-term cooperation with Boeing Company, United Aircraft Corporation and SpiritAeroSystems (USA) actively participating in creation of all latest models of Boeing commercial airplanes, Sukhoi Superjet 100; Gulfstream G280, G650; Cessna Columbus; Mitsubishi Regional Jet; Bombardier CSeries; Learjet 85.

Progresstech Group has efficiently cooperated with Boeing Company for over 20 years. Such long-term relationship has been distinguished by numerous significant events. In 2009 Boeing Company empowered Progresstech, Ltd. to directly offer engineering services to Boeing Tier-1 suppliers. In 2013 Boeing honored Progresstech with its Supplier of the Year award in the Leader’s Choice – Alliance category for sharing risks and advancing the Boeing strategic objectives.

In 2012 Progresstech proceeded to render engineering services in production fields which were new for the company – first in automobile industry and then in civil nuclear power engineering and renewable power engineering. Progresstech actively collaborates with AvtoVAZ, the largest automobile manufacturer in Russia and is involved in the international project on development of two Datsun models as well as in development of new models and modification of existing ones of Kalina/Granta and other Lada.families.

As for the power engineering the Progresstech specialists are actively involved in development program for tokamak fusion reactor under the large-scale scientific experiment project ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) in France. 

The airport technologies team comprises more than 150 engineers. The relevant projects have been successfully carried out in over 50 airports in Russia and CIS countries. Among executed and current projects are design services for various facilities at Moscow Vnukovo, Domodedovo  and Sheremetyevo Airports, Turkmenabat Airport (Turkmenistan) and Ellington Airport (TX, USA).

For the past years Progresstech has been justly turned into one of the most dynamically developing hi-tech company in the Eastern Europe, leader in developing the new perspective sector of the Russian economy – export of intellectual property services, and has won the worldwide recognition and repute.
