Crews of the Southern MD helicopter regiment, which is located in Stavropol Krai, started performing flight training.

About 30 Mi-8AMTSh, Mi-28N, Mi-24, and Mi-35 helicopters are involved in the training.

Helicopter pilots will perform aerobatics elements at day- and nighttime, joint maneuvering in wings at different altitudes within strike runs. They will also perform training tasks concerning elimination of stationary and moving targets with guns and unguided rickets.

During the training year, the servicemen are to perform about 20,000 flights in different terrain conditions and approximately 1,500 firings with guided and unguided missiles on surface targets of the simulated enemy.
